Oil filters One of the essential prerequisites for the satisfactory operation of an internal-combustion engine is continuous lubrication of the moving parts of the engine with oils which are kept at the required level of cleanness to avoid any premature wear. The oil filter has an essential part to play in the satisfactory operation of an engine, because it provides a continuous purification of the oil, by retaining: *Abrasive particles which arise through of normal wear and tear. *Dust. *Combustion residues. The oil filter has to be capable of withstanding the mechanical and thermal loads created in the environment of the engine. The filter has to retain the oil when the engin is swithed off and contributes to oil cooling.

Air filters The air filter is the engine's "lung". It protects the engone from direct attack from external pollutants. An engine takes in between 200 and 500 m3 of air per hour, depending on its cubic capacity. The absorbed air is full of inpurities depending on climate, the ground surface, the level of atmospheric pollution etc... In addition there is dust, which eventually becomes an abrasive paste lethal to the engine. The air-filter is a vital component, and really does act as a 'lung".

Petrol filters The petro; filter provides protection for the engine fuel supply system (carburettor or injection) by removing impurities contained in the fuel.
The PURFLUX petrol filter range comprises two types: *Of aluminium body for injection engines. *Of polyamide body for carburettor engines.

Diesel fuel filters The part played by the diesel fuel filter is to protect the injection pump of diesel vehicles by removing the impurities and water contained in the fuel.
The diesel fuel filter is becoming more important with regard to the scope of its functions: *Filtration. *Heating in order to prevent crystallisation of paraffin. *Water separation (the presence of water impedes the lubricating property of the diesel oil, with regard to the injection pump. In the event of immobilisation of the vehicle, an oxidation phenomenon may occur within the injection pump. *De-gassing. *Sparking.

Cabin filters The cabin filter is the solution of the future for improved comfort and for protecting the motorist and all vehicle passengers from any pollution which penetrates and concentrates within the cabin. Motorists are becoming more and more conscious about their health and safety and the drive against pollution. This preoccupation is particularly important in the cabin of a car which represents a confined space in which unpleasant high pollution levels especially high pollution levels, can be reached, especially in high traffic-density areas. Contrary to what one might imagine, this means that a motorist is much more exposed than a cyclist or a pedestrian.
